Sunshine Grass chosen by the Navy

Orlando, FL- The Naval Support Activity complex in Orlando, FL recently had Sunshine Grass, a division of Sunshine Synthetics, recently install 19,000 square feet of artificial grass. The area surrounding a basketball court and leading into the main building was transformed from a brown and green lawn to a lush green, perfectly landscaped lawn.

SUNSHINE Grass was chosen for this project to cut down on the cost of maintenance and conserve water. The area is used for PT and calisthenics and now can be used for other activities without hurting the grass. The artificial grass got so much attention from employees at the facility that an internal press release was issued to answer the employee’s questions.

The facility hopes that this is the first of many projects on the grounds using this material. One employee noted that they should use the product throughout the facility to make the whole site look better. The landscape architect was so please with the project they are looking at utilizing the synthetic lawn in many more projects.
